Product Introduction
30cm insulating glass is a high-efficiency heat-insulating and sound-insulating glass product. It is made of two or more pieces of 30cm (300mm) thick glass bonded by a high-strength, high-airtightness composite adhesive and an aluminum alloy frame containing a desiccant. A dry gas space is formed inside it, which effectively improves the heat-insulating and sound-insulating properties of the glass.
Production process
1. Material selection: Select high-quality float glass, tempered glass, etc. as the original sheet, usually with a thickness of 300mm to ensure the strength and light transmittance of the glass.
2. Aluminum spacer processing: According to design requirements, the aluminum spacer is processed into the required shape, and a desiccant (such as 3A molecular sieve) is filled inside it to absorb moisture in the hollow layer and keep the air dry.
3. Glass cutting and cleaning: Use a glass cutting machine to cut the original glass into the required size, and then use deionized water to thoroughly clean the glass surface to remove dust, oil and other impurities.
4. Lamination: Lamination the cleaned glass with the prepared spacer frame to ensure the accurate position and high alignment of the glass and the spacer frame.
5. Gluing and sealing: Apply butyl glue evenly on the edge of the hollow glass after lamination to form the first seal; after the first sealant is dry, apply polysulfide glue or silicone glue to form the second seal to ensure the sealing performance of the hollow glass.
6. Pressing and curing: Send the laminated hollow glass into the press machine, press the sheet by adjusting the time and strength to ensure that the air in the hollow layer is removed; then place the laminated hollow glass in a ventilated and dry place to dry, to ensure that the sealant and structural glue are completely cured.
7. Quality inspection: Perform quality inspection on the finished hollow glass, including appearance inspection, sealing test, thermal insulation and sound insulation performance test, etc., to ensure that the product meets the standard requirements.
Product specifications
Common 30 cm hollow glass specifications include but are not limited to:
Size: It can be customized according to customer needs, and the common size is 1830*2440 mm, etc.
Spacing: Common spacing layer thicknesses are 9 mm, 12 mm, etc.
Thickness: The thickness of a single piece of glass is 300 mm, and the overall thickness varies depending on the thickness of the spacing layer.
Applications
30 cm insulating glass is widely used in the following places due to its excellent heat insulation and sound insulation performance:
High-end buildings: doors, windows, and ceilings of office buildings, hotels, shopping malls, etc.
Places requiring sound insulation: schools, hospitals, stadiums, TV and radio studios, etc.
Refrigeration appliances: doors of refrigerators and freezers, etc.
Transportation: viewing windows of airplanes, ships, locomotives, etc.
Technical features
1. Superior energy-saving effect: excellent thermal insulation performance, effectively reducing building energy consumption.
2. High sound insulation: noise can be reduced by 27~40 decibels, providing a quiet indoor environment.
3. Improved wind pressure resistance: wind pressure resistance is 15 times that of single-piece glass, improving curtain wall safety.
4. Not easy to explode: It is produced by cold processing, the internal stress of the original glass sheet does not change, and it is sealed with elastic materials on all sides to reduce the risk of self-explosion.
5. The film layer of coated glass will not fall off: The metal film surface of the coated insulating glass is in dry sealed air and will never fall off.

FAQ
Q: What is the reason for condensation inside the insulating glass?
A: It may be due to the failure of the sealant, the failure of the desiccant, or the poor air permeability of the spacer strip, which causes water vapor to penetrate into the hollow cavity.
Q: How is the sound insulation effect of insulating glass?
A: Insulating glass has excellent sound insulation performance and can reduce noise by 27~40 decibels. The specific effect varies depending on product specifications and usage environment.
Q: How to maintain insulating glass?
A: Clean the glass surface regularly to avoid scratches by hard objects; check whether the sealant is intact. If it falls off or cracks, it should be replaced in time.
